Now is the Time for Helicopter Charter

Following an exclusive demonstration flight in the Air Harrods Sikorsky S-76C++ read the latest report from Rohit Jaggi of the Financial Times featured in the Summer 2009 edition of the FT Wealth Magazine.

" the extra streamlining contributes to a maximum cruise speed of 155 knots or 178 mph (287 kmh).  That is fast in terms of helicopter terms.  And while it may be slightly slower than a top-notch Italian sportscar or Japenese sportsbike, it can carry many more people - and can legally travel at those speeds.  Even taking into account the slow parts - take-off and landing - every flight can be planned on the basis of average speed of 145 knots or 167 mph.  That is a lot faster than any ground transport, unless you happen to travel only between stops on a bullet train line." Rohit Jaggi Financial Times Wealth Magazine, Summer 2009.

"No other method of reliably rapid transport can get as close to a starting point or eventual destination.  We can use gardens, hotel grounds, golf courses.  In Central London there isn't anything apart from Battersea Heliport, but as soon as you go out of the City there are plenty of landing sites"  S. Tierney, Flight Operations Director, Air Harrods
