Whatley Manor
Easton Grey, Malmesbury, Wiltshire SN16 0RB
The secret behind the success of Whatley Manor has been its ability to offer a very personal welcome and true relaxation in supremely elegant surroundings. From the European style Aquarias Spa, and the exceptional dining experiences to the tranquil scented gardens, Whatley Manor offers complete seclusion and a place to unwind in privacy and comfort.

Set within 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the hotel has 15 rooms and eight suites, all individually decorated in an eclectic style, combining classic antiques that have been handpicked from around the world with furniture, wallpaper, lighting and fabrics from leading international contemporary designers, much of which had been specially commissioned and custom made. While it may be set in a traditional listed Cotswold manor house, it is decidedly non-traditionally English in style and design. It instead draws its influence from mainland Europe.

There are two restaurants at Whatley Manor. The Dining Room, which is gastronomic in style and Le Mazot, which is more informal. Both are managed by Head Chef Martin Burge who received the "Chef of the Year 2004" award from the Galivanters Guide and in 2005 attained his first Michelin Star. |

Created to restore both mind and body whilst delivering relaxation and sensory
wellbeing, Aquarias offers scented thermal cabins, experience showers, a gymnasium with private studio and a VIP treatment suite. The spa, Aquarias also offers access to one of largest hydrotherapy pools in the country specially designed for relaxation and leisure rather than swimming and exercise. One quarter of the pool runs outside allowing guests to relax on the underwater lounger and enjoy spectacular views of the wildflower gardens, woodland and river valley below.
In addition, the Wave Dream Sensory room is a spellbinding art installation by Swiss water scientist Helmut Eigenmann designed to enable total relaxation and to free the mind of distracting thoughts. The room allows guests to lie back and unwind to the soothing sights and sounds of lapping waves reflected on the domed ceiling.

Designed and realised by Wisley-trained Head Gardener, Barry Holman and his team, the Whatley Manor Gardens have been developed to create a pleasurable environment with a sense of fun, adventure and understated theatre.
The gardens are divided into 26 distinct 'rooms', giving the maximum of 46 guests at Whatley Manor privacy and seclusion. Each has a strong theme, whether based on colour, scent or style. There is an herbaceous garden, a rose garden, a loggia garden, a north garden, two courtyard gardens, a lower terrace garden and a meadow and riverbank walk.
