Lee Williams
Base Manager, Stansted
Lee began his aviation career in 1993 with GHI Stansted, where he started as a ground services operative, handling commercial and cargo aircraft. After four enjoyable years, he was given the opportunity to join what was then Metro Business Aviation, as a Ramp Operative.
For the next 11 years he was heavily involved with handling all types of business aircraft from the smallest to the largest, and upon being trained in aircraft refuelling with ExxonMobil he was promoted to the position of Ramp and Fuel Supervisor where he continued to work closely with customers providing and ensuring they receive high standards of aircraft handling and refuelling services.
In 2008 he was again promoted to his current role as Base Manager Stansted.
He is now tasked with overseeing the day to day running of the Operations, Ramp, Fuel and Detailing departments which consists of over 50 staff. Lee works closely with the airport authorities and the board on future projects. |
