Anything Is Possible!
A team of expert gift wrappers from Harrods used over 600 metres of giftwrapping paper to wrap Air Harrods' helicopter G-MOMO at Stansted Airport recently.
The team worked through the night to wrap the Agusta A109E Power 'Elite' lightweight multipurpose helicopter which weighs just over 1,500kg, by using 150 rolls of industrial strength sellotape to conquer the feat.
The amount of wrapping paper used equates to wrapping 1,500 boxes of chocolates individually. When fully unrolled the sellotape used measures 2,250metres long - enough to cover the circumference of the London Eye five times.
The helicopter was sent to a Harrods customer as a gift to take his partner on a trip of a lifetime. The customer asked for it to be gift wrapped to make it extra special.
The wrapping was caught on camera to help promote the launch of the 'Anything Is Possible' season in the world's most famous department store which runs from 10 September until 21 October 2006. Air Harrods was pleased to oblige to make the customer's dream come true! |
