FDR Installation
During its annual inspection earlier this year Air Harrods S-76C+ helicopter G-FULM underwent the fitting of a combined flight data recorder.

The installation of the combined FDR and CVR system was a challenging input as it required the removal of an existing cockpit voice recorder before the installation could begin. The complete modification was achieved over a two-week period by Harrods Aviation aircraft maintenance at Stansted which is a Sikorsky Approved Customer Support Centre.

The modification was purchased from Keystone Helicopter Corporation as an EASA approved STC for the S-76 series helicopter and was fitted in accordance with their drawings. Fitting an FDR to a VIP helicopter available for charter allows Air Harrods to operate the aircraft to the highest possible commercial standard of safety for their customers.
