Customer care
Keeping track of all the engines in the Engine Shop’s care and their progress through the different stages of repair is no mean feat but ensuring the customer is updated on the progress of an engine in the care of the Engine Shop is a priority. Weekly updates are available to the operator but whatever the situation the customer is always fully briefed. Close contact and regular communication with the operator can assist in lessening the financial impact to an operator with engine difficulties. When work is completed, timely and effective communication allows for repaired engines to be refitted to aircraft at the most convenient opportunity for the operator.
The Engine Shop team are dedicated to supporting all their customers and Jim Hill, the Engine Shop Manager, leads his team by example. Jim was a member of the Honeywell Advisory Board for four years and as such was a UK representative of the Independent Honeywell Service Centres. Jim's membership enabled Harrods Aviation to represent and voice both its opinion and that of other service centres and operators to Honeywell in support of the TFE731 customer base. The aim, of course was, and still is, to help improve the customer support experience further through the worldwide-authorised network.
