
Royal Ascot

The first Royal Meeting at Ascot took place in 1768 but the meeting was extended from four days to five in 2002 for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. Royal Ascot is Britain’s most popular race meeting, welcoming over 275,000 visitors over the five days of Royal Ascot.
Gold Cup day remains the feature race on the third day and is colloquially known as ‘Ladies Day’. This is traditionally the busiest day of the week attracting the largest crowds and has always been the pinnacle day for fashion and hats. Flights are available from London or any other location, flight time from London to Royal Ascot helipad is 15 minutes.
