It is a semi-embedded, fully featured audio video on demand (AVOD) platform designed to minimise the issues of weight, reliability and flexibility associated with conventional IFE systems available to the executive market today.

The power of bluebox is also available as a portable player. This provides most of the features of semi-embedded version and is a compact, powerful and competitively priced solution.

bluebox lite is the most powerful, flexible and advanced portable IFE solution on the market today. bluebox lite provides the unique capability of starting with a pure portable solution and being able to migrate, using the same hardware, to the bluebox semi-embedded system.

bluebox lite provides full AVOD functionality, PC quality, latest generation games, first-run Hollywood movies and multilingual video and audio content.

BLUEBOX SEMI-EMBEDDED – FULL AVOD – LOWER PRICE
bluebox semi-embedded is the logical progression from bluebox lite. Using the same core device and remaining within the PED regulations at all times, bluebox semi-embedded provides all the features of a full AVOD system and a number of unique benefits over traditional AVOD systems.

As bluebox is based on top-line consumer technology and is easy upgradeable, image and audio quality are assured to be the best attainable. bluebox also takes advantage of strongest encryption and security solutions available for commercial operations systems, so ensuring the safest possible medium for exhibition.

As each bluebox unit is autonomous, any failure in-flight affects only a single unit, not those around it. A failed unit can be replaced by cabin crew in minutes.

POWER, SPACE, FREEDOM
A range of mounting options are available and bluebox is compatible with standard aircraft seat/cabin power solutions. Additional secure disk-drives are added to give practically unlimited content storage capacity. Standard aircraft-provided wireless network systems are used to control the units and distribute or update content and to support low bandwidth content such as cameras, moving map displays, news feeds etc.
