Helicopters are built to fly. This may seem an obvious statement but realistically many privately owned helicopters have a lot of downtime. While a helicopter is sitting in a hangar waiting for its owner it could be flying and earning its keep.
Air Harrods offers a lease-back service whereby a privately owned helicopter can be leased back to Air Harrods to enable us to offer the aircraft for commercial charter. This way, when the aircraft is not required by its principal, it can earn revenue to assist with off-setting the cost of ownership.
Demand for charter hours in our helicopter charter operation often outstrips availability so with a potential market already waiting, it would be a prudent move to off-set your ownership costs. |
